Leaving Northern Ireland and the UK behind, we stopped at the town of Dongal on our way to a one-night hotel stay in Sligo. We really enjoyed Donegal and the Donegal Castle, and Sligo was a pleasant surprise as well.
The next morning we were on our way to Roscommon, stopping first for a little genealogy visit to Strokestown.
