The London Underground let us out only two blocks from our hotel, so we were very happy with that. Our happiness waned a bit though when we got a look at our room.
It was incredibly small, with the bed stretching from wall to wall, so you had to crawl over each other to get in or out. No closet, no place to store our bags.
But hey, we were in London!
We set right out to walk around and start exploring the area. Our first walk took us to several icon sights, including Big Ben, Westminster Castle, and Westminster Abbey.
There was a fee to enter Westminster Abbey, but we managed to avoid paying it by attending a free Evensong service.
